Before the ceremonial ribbon cutting, the agency announced a $400,000 Arcadia Community Matching Challenge in partnership with the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation. The Barancik Foundation also gave the organization a $50,000 lead gift to support the Club’s programs.

“The Barancik Foundation is a proud supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County, and its transformational services for our community’s youth,” said Teri A Hansen, President and CEO of the Barancik Foundation. “We’re excited to see these programmatic opportunities go beyond county lines and impact deserving children in DeSoto County.”

All donations will be matched 1:1, up to $400,000, and directly support the programs at the Club, which is located at 14 School Ave. in Arcadia.

“Thanks to the Barancik Foundation, individuals can empower Arcadia’s youth to excel in the classroom, adopt healthy lifestyle habits and build leadership skills in a positive place with trusted youth development professionals,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County.
