Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County to honor Drs. Robert and Patricia Gussin at annual Champions for Children gala on Nov. 18

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County will honor Drs. Robert and Patricia Gussin at the organization’s annual Champions for Children gala on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Presented by the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation, this “Under the Tuscan Sun” event will be held at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club at 3100 Fruitville Road in Sarasota, and begin at 6 p.m. Proceeds from Champions for Children will support high-quality programs that help more than 5,000 local youth do well in school, become leaders, live healthy lifestyles and create a plan for success after high school graduation.

The night will entertain 350 guests with lush Tuscan décor, a gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Paul Mattison, a live and silent auction, poolside entertainment and an assortment of the Gussin’s reserve of Villa Maria wines from New Zealand. The program will celebrate Drs. Robert and Patricia Gussin as the 2017 Champions for Children and highlight local Club alumni whose lives have been impacted by the couple’s generosity.

Gussin have touched the lives of thousands of our Club members over the years, and continue to give greater opportunities to help more Club members chart their path toward a great future,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County. “We are honored to recognize their outstanding legacy at our organization as the 2017 Champions for Children.”

Individual tickets for Champions for Children are available for $350 per person. Opportunities for table sponsorships are also available at $3,500. Sponsorships, as well as, donations generated at the event, will be matched up to $70,000 thanks to the generosity of the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation.
